You will begin to see initial results within 3 to 10 days depending on which product is used, with full effects visible after two weeks. Dysport often shows results fastest, within 3 to 5 days, while Botox and Xeomin typically take 7 to 10 days.
Most patients find the injections quite comfortable, describing the sensation as brief pinches. We use very fine needles and the entire treatment takes only 10 to 15 minutes. Ice is available if you are particularly sensitive.
Results typically last 3 to 4 months, so most patients schedule maintenance treatments three to four times per year. With regular treatments, many patients find they need fewer units over time as the muscles learn to relax.
For the first 4 hours after treatment, avoid lying flat, strenuous exercise, and massaging the treated areas. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours to minimize the risk of bruising. You can return to most normal activities immediately.
